I got 99 problems, and public education in Maryland is one. My name is Yensta, a student at the University of Maryland but also a pre-k and kindergarten teacher at a public charter school in DC. You may ask yourself why does Yensta claim that education system in MD is an issue, yet she works as a teacher in DC? That is why I am here. I have tried to become a teacher in Maryland schools, however, their lack of funding, obsolete curriculum, unreasonable pay, etc. for teachers and students has made it quite difficult to become a teacher and teach in a successful manner. Education in MD needs to undergo some ponderous changes; I believe that my colleagues and I will be able to critically outline the issues and solutions for education in MD to flourish and progress gradually.
